and STDs: Designed to make women feel more comfortable as they learn about HIV/AIDS infection and prevention, safer sex techniques and self help empower them to change behaviours putting them at risk. |

| The AIDS Computer Action Program: A
computer training program offered by the Center for women needing to learn basic computer skills and how to access the Internet for treatment related information. |

| FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES Regular fundraising events are organised to guarantee provision of the greatest possible number of services available. The proceeds help maintain and create services that are indispensable. |

| VOLUNTEER SERVICES: Volunteers are at the heart of the Centre. The Centre depends heavily on their participation in the areas of office support, fundraising, production of the newsletter, accompaniment, kiosks and special events. Training and ongoing support and supervision are provided for all volunteers. Show each other we care by getting involved... |

| ADVOCACY The Centre defends the rights of women and their families by lobbying policymakers and intervening in the public forum. We are actively involved in community development and network with other AIDS organizations in Montreal. |

| Kiosks: To give information on different aspects of HIV/AIDS infection, these kiosks can be found in a variety of settings. On these occasions we give free condoms, lubricant and pamphlets and we also collect donations. |
|
| Short term projects: These one to two year projects are in collaboration with various establishments. They are aimed at different groups affected by HIV/AIDS such as abused women, inmates, students, etc. |
| Telephone support and information line: Responds to questions and concerns on issues surrounding HIV/AIDS and provides ongoing emotional and psychological support. |
|
| Individual counselling and referrals: A trained counsellor provides support and assesses the needs of clients; assisting them to obtain the most appropriate services in keeping with their preferences and circumstances. |
|
| Accompaniment This service is provided by trained volunteers for women living with HIV/AIDS. Volunteers provide support to women at home or at the hospital, etc. |
|
| Crisis Funds: A financial aid to provide funds for women with HIV/AIDS, in extreme emergency only. |
|
| Child Care: Trained volunteers take care of the children of women living with HIV/AIDS in the client's home. |
|
| Cafe Rencontre: HIV positive women gather together every two weeks at the Centre to share their experiences and keep up to date with each other. |
|
| Support group for affected women: A weekly group for mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and partners of those with the virus which provides mutual support. |
|
| Support group for anglophone women living with
HIV/AIDS. |
|
| Social Activities: Various activities and outings are organised for all members. |
