On the evening news (U.S.A.) 27 June 2005, in the report about the removal of the "Ten Commandments" from governmental sites in the U.S.A., an "atheist" is shown expressing her approval because they (atheists) should have the "freedom of expression". But in so doing she is seeking to deny those of the Jewish and Christian Faiths from "freedom of expression" in public!
In December 2005 the Sun tabloid (American Media Inc., publisher) headlines on the front cover "The Messiah Is Here" and it seems that soon he will reveal himself at some political event (in the U.S.A., no doubt!). It seems every few months one or other of the tabloids proclaim that Messiah is back, Messiah has been born anew as an infant in some improvished family, Messiah is doing miracles here on earth, etc. It would sound almost believeable, except for the fact that He already told us about such and about the manner of His return to this earth.

In St. Matthew 24 we read that the Lord Jesus Christ, Himself, said:: "If anyone tells you then, 'Look, here is the Messiah!' or, 'Over here!' do not believe it! False messiahs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. Take note: I have told you in advance. So if they tell you, 'Look, he's in the wilderness!' don't go out; 'Look, he's in the inner rooms!' do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man." ... "Immediately after the tribulation of those days, The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not shed her light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the celestial powers will be shaken. "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the land will mourn; and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other."

In April 2006 the Sun tabloid (American Media Inc., publisher) front pages news that the world will end on Sept. 11th 2006 and follows with a very persuasive article. Further back in the same paper they have an article which they claim tells the USA Presidents' names through to 2056. Though the USA may have a feeling of self-importance, somehow the rest of us rather doubt they will continue even if the world does end!
