What about AD 2012 and the End of the World?
The numbers in the bible has been my life-long study. Over 200 articles have been written on the subject. This is not a boast, but simply a statement to arrest the attention of serious inquires.
The year 2012 is indeed a very remarkable date on God's calendar. The book of Revelation continually alludes back to the Old Testament prophets. For example, the 1260 days of Rev. 11-13 alludes back to the 1290 days of Daniel 12. Both are half-seven years, the latter (1290 days) simply has a leap month of 30 days added. (See www.360calendar.com.) The full span of seven years, therefore, is 1260 + 1290 days. Sometimes a day can represent a year in the bible. Therefore, note the following...
539 BC (fall of Babylon, symbol of 'end of world'),
plus 1260 + 1290 years equals, autumn of AD 2012
